ECL86 Datasheet

Id say buy enough to last your lifetime, maybe sets and forget about it. From what I hear they usually last a couple thousand hours or more, which would take me years to rack up.

At which point I’ll see if I can find 4 that match out of my spares. The only change that might have to be done, may be the cathode bias resistor value My main system is solid state and it takes the high-hour load of movies and background music during gatherings etc Well, in all dztasheet a have a couple of backup sets of used but good 6GW8’s, but I figured if it was possible to switch over to a current production tube why not?

And, we often will find an “Update” to our collection. But new Russian 6BM8s are still available I can sure relate to the feeling of hard to find tubes though.

Also, I suspect that we collectors will dtasheet be wearing out a set of output tubes in our lifetime. This could really help some us with amps that use these tubes if it would work. I datashest perused a quad of early NOS Phillips there. No burn marked or anything of the like, shiny looking plates and pins etc Well sure I guess because alot of european radios used them there may be a following.

Discussion in ‘ Tube Audio ‘ started by rajuncajunNov 30, I’ve attached data sheets for both tubes. Some will claim that you lose just a tad of power, but probably not anything significant Let’s face it, we love to rotate our stuff, don’t you too? I dont think its to the point of datadheet subs though. Share This Page Tweet. Yes, it will work.

Once you go Telefunken, Valvo, or Mullard ec8l6 never go back. The real danger here is It’s just annoying to know that there’s a finite supply of a given tube out there. Yes, my password is: My Telefunken Princess Radio uses 2 of these for output. Substituting 6BM8s for 6GW8s has been done, in some jukebox and organ amp retro-fits.
